Event Details

For most autistic children and youth, understanding relationships, personal safety and boundaries can be challenging; therefore, direct teaching and support is required. Parents can support their children with building skills in these areas through various means at home and through community programming. This session will provide:

  • Information about the different types of relationships over the lifespan, and discuss the social rules related to them.
  • An introduction and strategies to support children/youth with understanding personal safety and boundaries.
  • Examples of programs, community supports and resources.
