The Behaviour Change Clinic

Our Girls’ Craft Club is suitable for girls (including those who identify as female) ages 6-12 years old who have a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder and who do not engage in severe challenging behaviour. This group is designed for students who have an interest in crafting as we incorporate arts and crafts into teaching self-regulation and self-advocacy skills. In addition, we use evidence-based teaching strategies such as video modelling and Behaviour Skills Training (BST).

Children in this group will be learning and working on the following skills:

  • Emotional Regulation
  • Conversation skills
  • Perspective taking
  • Self-advocacy skills
