Centre for Equitable Library Access

Public library service for Canadians with print disabilities

The Centre for Equitable Library Access works with public libraries across Canada to provide accessible materials to people with print disabilities, including comprehension challenges based on learning or developmental disabilities. Users can log in with their local library card to browse the catalogue of materials and download them directly in accessible formats such as audiobooks, DAISY talking books, ebooks, and electronic braille. CELA also offers accessible magazines and newspapers that can be downloaded or read online.
