Parents' Guide to Selecting and Monitoring Child Care in B.C
This is a parents’ guide to selecting and monitoring child care in British Columbia. It also provides information on licensed child care options, unlicensed child care options, and financial support.
The BC Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) provides Autism Funding to British Columbia families who have a child or youth with an eligible ASD diagnosis. Families can access to $22,000/year for children under age 6 and families can access $6,000/year for children aged 6-18. Children and youth with ASD and other developmental disabilities may also be eligible for other services and supports through MCFD, such as early intervention therapies, school-aged therapies, infant development, supported child development, and family support services, including respite.
