Video modeling is a highly effective and evidence-based method for teaching new skills to students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). It involves using videos where a model demonstrates desired behaviors. Research shows that students with ASD learn better and retain skills longer with video modelling. The process includes planning, choosing a format, scripting, recording, and using the video strategically for teaching and progress monitoring.
