Learning Disabilities Association South Vancouver Island Chapter (LDASVI)

The Child and Youth Programs at the LDABC Learning Curve include:

– Academic Skills Program: One-on-one support for skills such as reading for purpose, understanding course outlines, assignment breakdown and completion, research skills, organization of self and belongings, test taking, time and stress management.
– Reading & Writing Program: Designed for any student who is struggling with reading or writing. Parents are invited to meet with the tutor during the first session to discuss how to meet their child’s needs, then each child focuses on their own individualized goals during the one-on-one sessions.
– BC-Wide Online Reading Program: LEXIA is an engaging online program that addresses the development of reading, spelling, and oral language skills. It is designed for native English speakers and English language learners of all ages that can be accessed 24/7.
– Emotional Social Development Program: Offered as individual intake sessions or as group workshops, LDABC has a variety of programs focused on the emotional and social development of children, from young children to adolescents. See website for details.
