First Connections Program

First Connections by SBAI is a classroom-based ABA intervention programs designed for preschool-aged children with autism. (Formerly known as the Kindergarten Readiness Program).

Our programs provide one-to-one support and are personalized to meet your child’s unique needs. We use individualized ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) strategies to support all areas of development—helping children build the foundational skills they need not only for school, but for life.

This includes communication, social interaction, self-help skills, early learning, play, emotional regulation, and preparing for the classroom. All sessions take place in a supportive, centre-based environment with trained and caring staff.

What our program offers:

Designed to help children ages 2–6 build foundational skills for a successful transition to Kindergarten and for life
Continued support available after your child starts school, including summer programming and school-based services
Social skill development and small group learning opportunities
12.5 hours of 1:1 intervention each week
Monthly consultation (4 hours) with a senior behaviour analyst
Weekly oversight (12.5 hours) from a classroom supervisor
Opportunities for your child to spend time in Kindergarten classrooms in the host schools
