VON Canada
Home and community care services
VON, the Victorian Order of Nurses for Canada, offers public nursing and home care services to elderly and disabled people in the areas of health in the community; health at home; respite and caregiver support; end-of-life care; and social connections. Services that may be of particular interest to developmentally disabled people and their caregivers include adult day programs; the Familyhome program placing developmentally disabled adults with local families; the Passport community involvement program; and special services at home for disabled children, among others. Services offered vary by location.
