This class was designed after studying seven different executive functioning programs and after supporting neurodiverse students with EF for over 25 years. We start the 10-week program with a student assessment and set goals each week to encourage growth in targeted areas. Students are prompted to discuss their difficulties with the group and to group problem solve. They often find support from their peers, and their confidence develops when they discover they are not alone in their struggles. While this is primarily an EF group, we do tackle social and anxiety challenges when they arise. By the end of this group, students will be able to identify their main EF obstacles and have several practiced strategies to overcome them.
