Calqalmiat

I am Calqalmiat; I am from Snaw-Naw As territory and have connections to Snuneymuxw, Penelakut, and Squamish Nations.

I am a proud: Mother, Grandmother, Wife, Aunty, Daughter, Niece and Friend to many.

I have been an Educator for 12 years; I have been in alternate and special education my entire career, thus far.

I am driven to support students with learning challenges, as well as their families and communities, in the best way I can, as I am just a vessel.

I operate according to my family’s teachings and carry myself in line with our values.

There needs to be more adults in the support position for students with autism, so that is how I arrived here.  I want to support as many children as I can.  I look forward to learning from you and sharing what I know.

Robie Brown

A little about me, my name is Robie Brown, and my traditional spirit name is Turtle Woman.  I have worked in the field of AECD for 34 years.  I am originally from Northern Alberta, Denezaa and Cree.  I have 4 children, and I am a person living with Autism.
