Vanessa is a Registered Clinical Counsellor in Penticton, and welcomes children and youth of all abilities. She has worked with children and youth on the Autism Spectrum for many years; as a Consultant in the Early Intervention Program at the Queen Alexandra Centre in Victoria, BC; in a Provincially-Funded Autism Program as a Behavioural Interventionist; and as the Clinical Counsellor for 5 years in a special mental health program for children with Neuro-Developmental disabilities including ASD. She has operated a private practice in Victoria for two years before moving to the Okanagan. Vanessa offers play therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural therapy for anxiety and social skills development, behavioural suggestions, and parent coaching, among other treatments. She brings a a special focus and understanding of the Autism Spectrum, with treatments adapted to each child and family’s unique strengths and needs.
