Learning How to Take Control of your Brain
This fun group will target a variety of skills under the umbrella of Executive Functioning (EF). Participants will be introduced to how their brain works, and to a variety of EF skills through lessons and hands on activities. The “real life” application of these skills will take place through fun activities, in-group projects, and regular take-home assignments. Some parent participation required. The program is run by a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.
Topics addressed include:
· Strategies for Organization
· Impulse Control
· Time Management
· Goal Setting
· Problem Solving
· Finding the Main Idea
· Making Inferences
· Drawing Conclusions
AGE: 10 – 14
The program runs on Thursday’s from 3:30pm – 5:30pm, January 25 – May 10, 2018.
