Join POPARD for a free online session for parents and teachers supporting learning at home.

Social communication skills are an important part of a student’s educational program. For students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), social communication is a core impairment. We know that with effective instructional strategies, students with ASD can learn a range of skills to successfully engage with their social world. This workshop will begin by reviewing various components of social communication and the difficulties experienced by students with ASD, a variety of interventions will be examined with a focus on identifying practical and feasible strategies that that can be implemented at home.
