These sessions are an opportunity for families going through diagnosis and wanting to learn more about the different therapy approaches available to you. The presenter will be a professional in their field of study and will be doing a short introduction and presentation on their topic of expertise. It will then be open for question/conversation with families. These sessions are FREE OF CHARGE but your commitment to attending is mandatory! Presenter October 19th Arlene Sturn, MSc, RSLP, SLP(C) – Skylark Therapy Arlene is a speech language pathologist with over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults with disabilities. She is proficient at both Standardized and Dynamic Assessment methodology, skilled in the diagnosis and treatment of severe language and cognitive delays, practices theory-based therapy by developing functional goals that fit ability and focus attention and promotes an inter-disciplinary teamwork approach to rehabilitation. Arlene is certified in Speech-Language Pathology by Speech-Language and Audiology Canada (SAC) and is a registrant of the College of Speech and Hearing Health Professionals of BC (CSHHPBC). She is also a registrant on the RASP list (Registry of Autism service Providers). |
