Families and school teams work together in a variety of ways throughout the year. Research shows that promoting family-school engagement leads to increased trust and collaboration, as well as improved student achievement and development. This session will:
- Briefly review research and the new “family-school engagement playbook” to highlight important themes
- Provide strategies to enhance collaboration and communication between family and school
- Discuss connections between the roles, rights and responsibilities of teaching staff, administrators, and parents.
- Review how to work towards solutions in times of conflict or differences
About this Workshop:
- Presented via Zoom (the Zoom link for this session will be included in your confirmation email – if you don’t see a confirmation email after you have registered, check your junk/spam folder)
- Audience: This training is primarily intended for parents and families of students who are on the Autism spectrum, however educators and other professionals may attend
- This FREE 1-hour workshop will include 45 minutes of content and 15 minutes of Q&A
