*Before you register for this Interactive Session, please make sure you are a parent or caregiver who has already registered for the May 4th Information Session for this topic. Homework is an important part of your child’s development as it helps the teacher assess how your child is doing. Are they able to transfer their knowledge and skills from the lesson, and implement them more independently? Homework is also a great way of sharing with you at home what is happening at school, and how your child is getting on. But homework can also be a real struggle and can cause lots of anxiety for both parents and students who are finding things difficult. This workshop aims to empower you to support your child and hopefully make this a more positive, shared experience.
This workshop is an extension of the workshop offered on Tuesday May 4th. This interactive session has a limited number of spaces for parents and caregivers only who attended the previous session. We encourage everyone to actively participate and draw upon their own knowledge and experience to discuss and learn together.
- Please bring some homework examples with you to discuss
Parents/caregivers should be prepared to discuss their experiences and any further questions they have on this topic in a safe, inclusive, small group setting.
This FREE 1-hour virtual workshop will include:
- 45 minutes interactive session
- 15 minutes summary & feedback
Presenters: Carlye McCloy-Brown & Chelsea Jelic
