PEERS (R) is an evidence based program developed at UCLA to help teens learn to make friends and keep friends. 

This program is for children, aged 12-16 with Autism, ADHD, or other social learning issues.

Participants MUST have:

  • Average language abilities
  • Interest in the program
  • 1 caregiver who will attend the program

The program is 13 weeks in duration and runs on Tuesday evenings, with a break during Spring Break.

Cost is 1690$, or 130$ per 90 minute session (Autism Funding or extended medical may be used).

Participants will learn:

  • Conversation skills
  • How to choose appropriate friends
  • Dealing with teasing and bullying
  • How to use humour
  • Handling disagreements
  • How to be a good sport
  • How to have get-togethers/hangouts
  • More!

The program will be taught by Shannon Muir (R)SLP, PEERS Certified and Jacquie Engel, (R)SLP.
