AutismBC is pleased to collaborate with Provincial Outreach Program for Autism and Related Disorders (POPARD) to present a series of workshops in 2021, aiming to provide resources for families to help their kids (and parents) learn at school, at home, and in the community.
Having a diagnosis of ASD increases the likelihood of having mental health symptoms or a diagnosed disorder. This session will:
- Provide a brief overview of the most common mental health disorders among the ASD population.
- Discuss how COVID-19 is impacting mental health
- Help parents/caregivers identify when to seek mental health support.
- Provide a detailed review of how and where to access mental health support from primary care to tertiary care services.
There will be no recording for this workshop.
