Ministry of Children and Family Development
1177 W. Broadway
The Ministry of Children and Family Development is looking for full and part-time caregivers for children and youth in the Vancouver and Richmond areas. We have a number of opportunities for people over the age of nineteen who want to make a difference in the life of a child and develop their skill set. Foster carers provide temporary, short-term care to children and youth who come from hard places and face a range of issues. They need support, guidance and positive role models. Fostering does not need to be a full time commitment. You can make a lasting impression by providing respite or weekend care. Respite caregivers typically care for a child in their home for a period of 24-48 hours, usually over a weekend. Individuals who apply to foster or provide respite care will receive compensation and ongoing Ministry funded support and training in their role. We are currently recruiting for the Vancouver and Richmond area and have an urgent need for respite caregivers for children and youth with special needs.
