Tuesday, September 15 - Wednesday, December 2
10:00 am - 12:30 pm
- Employment Works
Our upcoming Employment Works program will be offered online due to the ongoing health and safety concerns around Covid-19.
While this pandemic has created a significant amount of stress and unknowns, it has also provided an opportunity to think innovatively and offer programs online to individuals who may not have registered for Employment Works when it was offered in-person. Challenges with transit, or being part of an in-person group due to social anxiety, or living in rural areas and not having access to pre-employment training programs for individuals on the spectrum, might have impacted participation in this program.
Offering the Employment Works program in an online capacity improves access to our unique program, while still delivering the curriculum to provide soft skills training and opportunities to practice these skills in various ways.
Skills such as communication, task management, organization, team-work, self-management and flexibility are important skills to have in any work-place environment. We will be learning and practicing these skills through team-building exercises, work-place scenarios, webinars with various employers, workbooks, and employment simulations.
For further information about the Employment Works program, please contact Anjela Godber: firstname.lastname@example.org. Registration closes on September 11th.
