Summary

This website provides a variety of resources for parents of individuals with autism who may be prone to wandering away from safe areas, as well as teachers and first responders. The website includes a brochure, a link to a caregiver toolkit, and forms for recording information about an individual.

Furthermore, the website includes the "Wandering Emergency Plan" form, which can be filled out by parents in case their child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) later becomes missing.

The Autism Wandering Awareness Alerts Response and Education (AWAARE) Collaboration is a non-profit autism organization that works to prevent wandering-related incidents within the autism community. They provide an abundance of resources, establish and monitor objectives, policies, guidelines and tools that will increase awareness, prevention and safety.
