Summary

This help sheet serves to introduce readers to trusts that may be available to them in the province of British Columbia. Individuals otherwise eligible for the Persons with Disability (PWD) benefit, but who have assets greater than the established maximum for PWD status, may be allowed to set money aside in a trust and still receive PWD benefits.

Disability Alliance BC (DABC) is a provincial advocacy organization. Its mission “is to support people, with all disabilities, to live with dignity, independence and as equal and full participants in the community.” [Website]
