Applications for Persons with Disabilities Designation by Youth with a Developmental Disability

By Ministry of Social Development and Social Innovation

Summary

This online document describes the steps for applying for disability financial assistance. The Government of British Columbia has simplified the process: rather than completing the Persons with Disabilities (PWD) application form, individuals can now submit an existing assessment by a registered psychologist or certified school psychologist.

The BC Ministry of Social Development and Social Innovation “focuses on providing British Columbians in need with a system of supports to help them achieve their social and economic independence.” [Website] The Ministry is responsible for Person with Disabilities (PWD) income support.
