Would you like to find out some basic information about the social skills of sexuality with a focus on abuse prevention?  Do you want to know about dating social rules and online connections which are safe?  If you are 19 and older with Autism or other diversabilities you are invited to join our group for this amazing FREE ZOOM workshop.

Join Joanne Poole, registered nurse for over 30 years and Okanagan College professor who teachers community workshops and Autism courses, focusing on individual with diversabilites.  In addition, she has raised a son with Autism so has the lived experience.

Topics covered in the workshop will be:  private versus public spaces and parts of our bodies; personal rights and laws about consent (saying “NO”); social rules and laws about connecting with others (Hearing “NO”) through dating, texting, touch and consent; and dating and online connections.  Joanne will also talk about harassment and stalking prevention which is so important these days to recognize and prevent.

This is one of eight FREE ZOOM workshops presented by the Okanagan Self-Advocate Group in Kelowna in 2022.
