ABA Learning Centre and Fawkes Academy are happy to offer a social media safety group this summer! Do you want to learn how some social media savvy skills? Do your parents want you to learn some cyber safety skills? How about how to master your school Zoom Meetings? Then this group is for you!
Camp Info
Age: 12 – 16
Dates: July 8, 15, 22 and August 5, 12 and 19, 2020
Time: 2:30 – 4pm
Location: Online through ZOOM
Cost: $600 (Eligible for Autism Funding Use)
Participants need to have access to a computer, headset, camera and their computer needs to be able to connect to Zoom. Skills targeted during the class:
• Zoom/Online Class Etiquette
• Zoom how too
• Texting- too much/not enough
• Misinterpreting texts
• Chat groups what to say and what not to say
• Posting on Social Media
Prerequisite Skills for Cyber Group:
• Child can participate in a conversation
• Can participate in online class for 1.5 hours (small breaks will be provided)
• Basic computer skills
**The pre-interview is for new families to ensure the child is a good fit for the class. Acceptance into the program is not guaranteed.
