Free Foster Parent Information Sessions – Become a full or part-time caregiver to a child or youth who needs mentoring.

Have you ever thought about opening your home to a child in need?  We are currently looking for compassionate, caring and thoughtful individuals who are looking to help children and youth with diverse needs on a full or part-time basis for the Vancouver and Richmond area.  At this time we have an urgent need for respite caregivers.  Respite workers typically take a child or youth into their home for a 24-48 hour period one or two weekends per month.  It is a great way to earn money while increasing skill sets.  There are also full time opportunities available and there is MCFD funded training as well as ongoing support available for anyone who wants to open their home and make a positive impact in the life of a child and the wider community. 

We hold information sessions once a month at our Vancouver office for anyone interested in learning more about fostering, the types of children who need homes as well as training and compensation.  We would like to offer anyone who is interested with a chance to earn income while providing support and guidance to children and youth who need mentoring.
