Museum & Archives of North Vancouver
Sensory Friendly Sundays
The Museum & Archives of North Vancouver (MONOVA) offers sensory-friendly hours for neurodivergent people of all ages from 10 am to 5 pm on the first Sunday of every month. Exhibits are adapted with lowered lighting and adjusted sound, and a quiet space is provided for visitors who may need a break. Visitors are also provided with Discovery Packs that include noise-cancelling headphones, a museum map, sensory fidget toys, and activities to complete during the visit. MONOVA staff members have received training from Canucks Autism Network on supporting people on the autism spectrum and their families.
