National Network for Equitable Library Service

Accessible services and collections

The National Network for Equitable Library Service works with public libraries across Canada to provide accessible materials to people with print disabilities, including comprehension challenges based on learning or developmental disabilities. Users can log in with their local library card to browse the catalogue of materials and download them directly in accessible formats such as audiobooks, DAISY talking books, ebooks, and electronic braille. If a book is not available in the desired format, NNELS may acquire or produce it upon request.
