Inuit Child First Initiative

The Inuit Child First Initiative aims to meet the health, social and educational needs of all Inuit children in Canada by providing funding for requested services. Any child recognized by an Inuit land claim organization and under the age of majority in their province/territory of residence is eligible to receive support.  

Covered services that may be of particular interest to developmentally disabled children and their caregivers include cultural services from Elders; mental health counselling; assessments and screenings; therapeutic services; respite care; educational assistants; and psycho-educational assessments.
