Departments

The Tl’azt’en Nation offers services to its members through its various departments: Administration & Finance; Education; Social Development; Health & Wellness; Emergency Response; and Public Works.

Services that may be of particular interest to developmentally disabled people and their family are in the Education, Social Development, and Health & Wellness departments. These include the Headstart program for families; employment services; adult in-home care; the Nezul Be Hunuyeh child and family services agency; family health services including Aboriginal Head Start on Reserve; and mental health and addictions support.

Mandate: "Tl’azt’en Nation seeks to recognize and honour Tl’azt’en cultural systems that includes Elders, Keyoh Holder and Hereditary systems. We seek to improve the health of our community through connection to our culture and heritate. We endeavor to oversee the operations, procedures, laws, powers, and jurisdictions related to Tl’azt’en Nation and any other related activities arising from its mandate.
