ARC Autism Services

Behavioral Assessment Support Services Program

The Behavioral Support Services (BASS) Program provides intensive behaviour consultation for families and caregivers with children and youth with special needs to address the child’s challenging behaviours and areas of skill deficits through a comprehensive functional assessment, developing a positive behaviour support plan, and providing a range of support, training and consultation services. The program also provides family counselling and parent support services.

MCFD-CYSN-eligible children and youth diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum are eligible for services when it is determined that they are utilizing their autism funding for services, yet there remains a high need to address challenging behaviours and complex needs.

Referrals are only available through the child or youth’s MCFD-CYSN social worker.

The program serves eligible children and youth in the Central and South Okanagan regions.
